Because Who Doesn’t Like Chocolate?
This giveaway is closed. The winning numbers are 13, 9, 54, 50 —
congratulations Carrie, Jennifer, melanie and Mary B.
Way back before Christmas (yeah, procrastinate much?) the folks from Ritter Sport offered to send me a box of chocolate. Clearly there was no decision making involved here. I promptly said yes please and thank you and agreed to write a review in exchange for the opportunity sample a variety of chocolates. We enjoyed our chocolates very much, but I am just now getting around to writing a review.
I received an assortment of Ritter Sport chocolates including milk chocolate, dark chocolate. milk chocolate with almonds, and a yogurt. The milk chocolate with almonds was my favorite. My husband preferred the dark. And the kids, well, they weren’t choosy; on the rare occasion we allowed them to get near our chocolate stash, they took what they could wrangle from us. Their signature thick squares of chocolate are great to take along with you or slip into your bag in case you need a chocolate fix. They make great Easter basket fillers (or stocking stuffers, depending on the time of year.)
Ritter Sport is an environmentally friendly, family owned and operated, German company that has been producing high quality chocolates since 1912. Here is a short documentary about Ritter Sport’s history, if you’re interested. I love supporting small family run companies, and I’m always curious to hear their stories. This company is particularly intriguing because of their involvement in the cocoa farming industry in Nicaragua. Read more about that here. In short, Ritter Sport makes quality chocolate that you can feel good about.
WIN IT!
Four lucky winners will receive a box of 84 Ritter Sport mini bars. To qualify, just leave a comment on this post relating to the Ritter Sport company or chocolate in general. You may earn extra entries by following Ritter Sport on Twitter and becoming a fan on Facebook. Leave a comment for each entry. I will randomly select four winners next Thursday, March 18.

My dad introduced me to Ritter Sport chocolates. He found them in England and brought a bunch back, not aware they were widely available in the states. I took him to Target and showed him. I think he was simultaneously elated and deflated!

Who doesn’t love chocolate!?! I love Ritter because there are so many varieties but if it came down to it.. I think my favorite would probably be milk chocolate with almonds as well.. you really can’t go wrong with that combination!

I AM A CHOCOLATE ADDICT…I probably should seek therapy rather than 84 mini-bars, but darn it – I want the chocolate.
Seriously, I do love these bars – my favorites are the ones with the cornflakes – yummy and I’m able to convince myself they are healthy because they have CEREAL!
These are the best:

My husband turned me over to the dark side (of chocolate that is) and I have never gone back. Although, hand me a piece of milk chocolate and I will never say no. It is white chocolate that gets a no thanks out of me.

In college the bookstore stocked the white whole hazelnuts bars from Ritter–ooooh it makes me drool just to think about it. Which is probably why I weigh 40 lbs more than I did when I started college. :/
