If you have a preschooler in the house, chances are you are a fan of Curious George. I know we are in my house. We fell in love with the books first, but we also enjoy the show on PBS from time to time. So when I was offered a DVD of the new release, Curious George: A Very Monkey Christmas for review, I gladly accepted.
As I predicted, it has been a hit at our house. My 4-year-old has watched it more times than I care to admit.
It’s a very sweet storyline, with Curious George and the Man with the Yellow Hat both at a loss as to what to get the other for Christmas.

I tried to watch this when it aired locally, but there was too much going on at the time. I’d love to get it on DVD to add to our Christmas movie collection….

We LOVE Curious George! He was my husband’s favorite when he was young, and we have lots of books (including from the 60’s, I think, where George relaxes at the end of the day with a ‘pipe’!!!!) Times have changed, but we still love that little monkey! My youngest child got his first stuffed Curious George in the hospital when he was born, it was as big as him & we have the pictures to prove it!

My son would LOVE this! He recently declared that he wanted Curious George underwear. And, he doesn’t even wear underwear yet. I honestly have no idea where he gets these things!

My daughter would love this for Christmas. She is 17 months and reminds us a lot of curious george. She is relatively quiet and observes everything yet finds her way into mischief!

We love Curious George! Also, my girls watch Christmas movies all year. They can’t get enough of them. They’ve seem Polar Express more times since we bought it last year than I’ll ever admit to.

my son is crazy about curious george. and my kids were very disappointed to see only bits of this on the day before thanksgiving. they would be so happy to get this Christmas day!

My 8 year old still loves George. Her Dad bought her a volume of Curious George before she was born and they’ve read it together 2,000,000 times. The PBS show is such a great way to expand on the books!

We would LOVE to get the movie as we sampled the music on another website and my kids just loved it. They can’t get enough of that cute little monkey that I grew up loving too!

Thank goodness for Curious George! It’s hard to find movies appropriate for the littlest ones in our family – and the big kids still get a kick out that crazy monkey:)
