EcoBags *GIVEAWAY*
This contest is closed, and the winners are Becky and Nikki! Enjoy your EcoBags, ladies!
There is no shortage of reusable bags to choose from these days, so allow me to help you sort through the clutter. The String Bags by EcoBags are fabulous.

They sent me a Classic String Bag to test drive, and I have been thoroughly impressed. For one thing, they are affordable, which is something that can’t be said for every eco-conscious bag out there.
They are stretchy and durable so that they hold way more than it looks like they could possibly hold. (I’m always telling the kids bagging my groceries to stuff them.)
And then they ball up into absolutely nothing so you can stash them in your purse or in your car or where ever you may need to have a bag handy.
Plus, the long handles are perfect for throwing over your shoulder so you have your hands free for grabbing 3-year-olds with a penchant for darting out into traffic. Oh, wait. Maybe that’s just me. But anyway.
You want to try one!?
WIN IT! The folks at EcoBags want to give away 2 Classic String Bags to Reviewsings/Musings readers. The rules are the usual.
1) REQUIRED: Leave a comment on this post telling me why you want to win or why you like eco-friendly, reusable bags.
2) OPTIONAL: Share about the giveaway via Twitter, Facebook, your blog, or emailing a few friends. Leave a comment letting me know which you did.
3) OPTIONAL: Give yourself another entry if you’re a subscriber. Make sure to leave a comment telling me you’re subscribed.
I know it’s a pain, but leaving comments for each entry is the only way I can count them! I will randomly select TWO winners on Saturday, June 6th. Good luck!

I like these bags because they are versatile. I would love to use ours for a beach bag…it can hold the toys, towels, sunscreen jug, and other assorted beach tag alongs….but the sand will fall through and help keep the car a little cleaner (hopefully). Nice giveaway!
I think there are some really great colors available too.
My FAV is the Milano style purple string bag and I noticed in the description it says, ‘The perfect bag for market as well as day trips to the beach.’ Like they say…perfect! It also holds up to 40 pounds!

I NEED these bags!! I was using my kids’ old preschool bags (they were adorable – had the class mascot painted on them) as grocery bags. They got a new one each year so I had plenty and was actually reusing bags. I feel kind of silly buying new bags jsut to reuse them. Anyway, somehow I LOST the bags – all 5 of them. They were perfect for grocery shopping/trips to Target/Walmart, etc. I don’t know how I could have misplaced them – somewhere there must be a bag of rotting groceries (or someone else is using bags with MY children’s names on them). Would love to try these out!

I would love something so small I can keep in the corner of my purse or glove compartment. I love being green but I can never seem to remember to bring my bags to the store!

A friend of mine lived overseas and brought me back a hand-woven bag, and YES I was always stunned at how much it held.
I always use canvas bags (well, 90% of the time). My grocery store has a scan as you go deal that allows me to bag as I shop. It’s great.
So I’d love one of these to add to my collection.

Hi Jo-Lynne,
Okay, I’ve actually really wanted one of these bags for a long time. The reason? I live in New York City and walk everywhere… doesn’t sound like a big deal, but it is when you try to bring your own bags! I try to combine my grocery trips to the single Trader Joe’s with going to/from work; however, the problem comes when I take a canvas bag. That means I carry my purse, gym bag and have to fold up an empty bag. It’s a lot to juggle on the subway in the morning during rush hour. I’ve seen these bags before and they scrunch up really small, so you can pretty much take them everywhere.
Anyway, props if you finished reading my comment…sorry it was so long!

I always think of these bags when I am buying produce and I really hate using all those plastic bags – I guess my ‘eco-conscious’ gets me! Most of the time I only use those bags for little items….like limes and grapes. These bags would be great for everything though!
Didi on May 27th, 2009 at 9:52 pm
The fact that it scrunches up into a ball to fit into my bag is enough to make me raise my hand and say “Me, Me!”
I always forget to bring my green bags to the store and when I do remember, it just takes a few more minutes figuring out where to put them in the car!
So anyway, I’m a subscriber.

I like ecobags because, first of all, I can’t stand the way plastic bags collect – it’s so cluttered (or maybe that’s just me being disorganized). Also, my main grocery store charges 5c for plastic bags and gives points for using reusable ones (it works out to 5c in rewards per bag), so for me buying reusable bags eventually “makes” me money.

I would love to be entered – I am all about bringing my own bag. A lot of stores will give you a credit for bringing your own bags, and Trader joe’s has a daily raffle for people who bring their own bags when they shop.
Great idea!

I use to reuse bags, but these days I have been slacking. I totally can use this as I begin again with bringing bags to the grocery store.

I would love to win one of these bags! I have some from the grocery store, but they’re too big to store in my purse and I always forget to grab them from the back of the van. It helps a lot that they’re so cute too!

Thanks for the giveaway!

Love these bags. We have reusable bags for almost everything. They are all over the car for groceries, shopping, going to the amusement park, playground visits and more. These would be great for swim gear this summer. Thanks for the opportunity.

Oh wow! Now that’s really cool. I like that you can ball them up conveniently.
I would love to win these because when I looked at the picture I immediately said “I WANT.”
Staci A on May 30th, 2009 at 7:22 pm
We’d love to win because while we love using reusable bags, most of ours are not too portable. They are way too big to fit in my purse, so I end up forgetting them. These look perfect!

I’d love to try these. They look like they’d be so much more compact when empty than canvas tote bags. And communities are starting to tax the store bags we’ve become used to.
