CropMom Digital Scrapbooking *GIVEAWAY*
This contest is closed. The winners are Robyn and Jennifer. Congrats, ladies!
I’ve been a scrapbooker for as long as I can remember. I think I created my first pages back in the late ’90s and quickly became obsessed with papers and embellishments. When digital scrapbooking hit the scene I wasn’t interested in taking my craft into the digital age. Yet when I’d glance my growing pile of photos and memorabilia, I’d wonder if digital scrapbooking could help me get my pages done faster. So I was very excited when given the chance to review CropMom, a digital scrapbooking website.
CropMom lets you create digital scrapbook pages, greeting cards and digital art using [their] easy, drag-and-drop online scrapbook creator. You can download your photo creations for free to share on the Web. Or you can purchase your layouts as print-quality digital files for printing anywhere you’d like – on your home printer or at your favorite photo service.
As a digital newbie, I found the CropMom website and scrapbook creator very easy to navigate. You can create pages using your imagination, a template, or copy any page from the gallery. Since I’m a long-time “scraplifter”, I chose to use gallery images. I uploaded my photos, used the CropMom cropping tools, and got started.

You have various sizes to choose from when creating your layout. You can even make greeting cards! Here’s a Mother’s Day card I designed.

CropMom is absolutely free to join and use. You can even download your designs for free to use on the web or e-mail. If you want to print your creations, you can purchase credits that allow you to download them in JPEG print-quality digital format. You would then print them at home, or have your favorite photo retailer print your image on anything from a greeting card to a coffee mug!
I really enjoyed using CropMom, and I can definitely see myself using it in the future for personalized cards or photo gifts. Call me old-fashioned, but I don’t see myself becoming a full-time digital scrapper just yet. There’s something about the entire paper craft experience that I love. But this is why I feel like I’d use CropMom in the future. There’s no expensive software to buy and learn, it’s quick and easy, and fun!
WIN IT! CropMom has generously donated ten credits to use for downloading JPEG print-quality images (five each for two winners.) Simply leave a comment on this post about anything pertaining to scrapbooking. Get an additional entry if you’re a subscriber. We will randomly select a winner on Saturday. Good luck!
